We Should All Be Feminists by Chimanda Ngozi Adichie

A short (64 pages) essay adapted from Adichie’s TEDx talk of the same name. It can easily be read in one sitting, but I would encourage you to go slowly and really try to internalize each point.

I think there’s a saying, but Google isn’t helping me find it, that it’s much harder, and requires much more mastery, to write something concisely than to wax eloquent on it for pages and pages. And Adichie is refreshingly direct in her approach to feminism and to deconstructing the arguments made against feminism.

This is a book that everyone, everywhere should read and then pass on to someone else. As Adichie puts it, we must all do better to ensure equality of the genders.
